The No Asshole Rule: Building a Civilized Workplace and Surviving One That Isn't by Robert Sutton, Ph.D.
This book is not a joke, despite it's title. I've wanted to do a review of this book for quite some time. I've finally found the nerve to do so. It's a serious subject researched by Harvard Business School Professor Robert Sutton. Brings together many points about the impact toxic people and toxic behavior have on the performance of your organization.
Here's my synopis of the book.
“Toxic behavior is detrimental to everyone. The victim, bystanders, the perpetrator, your organization, your customers. This book gives clear direction on how to identify toxic people, what to do about it, and how to keep you 'inner' toxic self in check."
Doors open at 11:45. Review starts at noon. Be finished by 12:45. Feel free to keep the discussion going until 1:15.
See you then. Spread the word.
