On July 11, 2014, the FCC adopted a landmark modernization order (also known as E-rate 2.0) to transform the E-rate Program. For the past 18 years, districts have depended on the E-rate Program to provide funding for telecommunications, internet access, basic maintenance and network upgrades. These new rules will change the E-rate landscape and have a dramatic impact on all district and COE budgets.
This workshop will discuss the new rules, the reasons behind the changes, and strategies for addressing both the challenges and the opportunities these new rules present for the 2015-2016 school year and beyond.
There is no charge for this workshop nor will there be any marketing involved; all are welcome to attend.
Presentations will be 90 minutes and Q&A after as time allows.
We look forward to seeing you!
