15 x 3 MINUTE PRESENTATIONS FROM...

Erin Scott  /  IT Ninja ,  Great Scott Consulting Services
I'd like to discuss Bitcoins and other crypto currencies.  Besides being able to "pay for stuff" there are huge implications to the frictionless transfer of money from anyone to anyone anywhere in the world.

David Mann  /  Creator ,  UltraMusician
3 years in the making, UltraMusician engages sight, sound, touch and audio senses together, simultaneously working four skills: instrument, notation, sound, and theory into each lesson. This not only accelerates the learning process, it gives each budding musician an innate versatility and fluency that will unleash their creativity in making their own music.

Marc Vermut  /  VP, Strategy ,  MarketShare
An adjective laden journey into the holes that surround us and occupy our imaginations. Much like Cyrano's top 20 nose insults, consider this a brief exploration into all the ways that holes impact us.

Kristine Oller  /  Change Strategist ,  KristineOller.com
I am passionate about empowering multi-talented creatives to embrace the idea that their talent is not an obligation.  Making this shift in perspective is a daring act of self-permission that can propel people to their next level of success; not making it can leave the smartest, most capable folks hemorrhaging their energy and feeling burdened by their gifts.

Samy Kamkar  /  Hacker
I'm most well known as the author of the Myspace Samy Worm as well as publicizing that Apple and Google and others were tracking your phones. I will speak on hacking and share some of my most recent projects.

Antonio Neves  /  Managing Director ,  THINQACTION Inc.
How to create your own luck by being uncomfortable, doing the unsexy and spending time with people who make us better.

Glenn Campbell  /  Owner , Playa Productions
How can we change the balance of power between the people and the corporations by using a paradigm shifting mechanism called the Digital Fossil...

Sabrina Williams  /  Director ,  Home & Community Inc
There is food growing in South Los Angeles, and it’s helping create community.  We’re addressing food security by developing a unique co-working space and homestead for low-income entrepreneurs. New laws, both locally and statewide, allow for more growing, more cooking and more sharing.  A co-working homestead can be a center for identifying and connecting the nodes of production, so that food entrepreneurs can engage in the distribution of healthy food.

Joseph Winke  /  Snackologist ,  Healthy Surprise
How to change the world, have fun and make some money in the process. Tips and tricks from the world of Social Entrepreneurship.

Andros Sturgeon  /  Founder ,  Starchild Interactive
The Revolution Will Be Downloaded: If you look at the timeline of the human race, we are only at the very beginning of our next incarnation...Homo-Luminous.  Social Media, 3D Printing, Next Gen Mobile.  All of this leads to a very near future that will make the 60s look like the 30s and the Renaissance look like a footnote.  The best part is that we will live to see it happen.  I will explain what is going to happen next.

Paul Orlando  /  Co-founder of Mobile Startup Accelerator ,  AcceleratorHK
How to be interesting to invisible strangers online. I'd like to share data I collected a few years ago while running a startup that connected people for voice conversations. I went on to totally change the business and then used what I learned to work with startups by running an accelerator. This story sums up a lot of what I learned back then.

Banu Hantal  /  Brain Hygienist ,  Mindful Leadership Bootcamp
What did you do yesterday to keep your teeth healthy, to make them look good and smell good? Now another question: what did you do yesterday to keep your brain healthy and pleasant? I'd like to discuss Brain Hygiene, i.e. intentionally selecting and regulating the experiences the brain is exposed to achieve optimum performance, health and emotional wellbeing.

Michael Tam Wood  /  Creative Director ,  SkyFire
I would like to talk about SkyFire, and how our theme "Conscious Energy" can be used to talk about both personal & cultural awareness. I would give a brief presentation on the nature of our performance, a description of how the theme permeates the project as a whole, and why I am personally passionate about using our performance to convey profound truths about life.

Argine Ovsepyan   /  Production Coord. & Mgr.,  CounterPunch Studios
TOPIC:  I would like to speak about the power of being present. We find ourself disconnected from the tasks, conversations, and ultimately ourselves. This disconnection is directly connected to the battle between one's head and heart! This infamous battle within spills into the world around us and encourages us to disconnect from our surroundings!

Sarah Kang  /  Creative Director ,  We Are Matik
Drawing from a vast array of disciplines such as behavior studies and human psychology - I co-create multi-sensory, interactive art installations that inspire people to re-think about what it means to be a human.

GOAL: Attendees have the option to submit a topic that they're passionate about and would like to share. If we receive more than 15 submissions we will email all registered attendees so they can vote on their favorite topics. NOTE: The full lineup will be announced on Wednesday January 22nd.

EVENT FORMAT: Each of the 15 presenters are given 3 minutes and can include a maximum of 3 slides (optional).Of course throughout the night we will throw in a little music, humor, story-telling, slide karaoke, poetry or other types of “mental sorbet”.

RESULT: At the end, the audience will be vote on which people they'd like to hear more from. The top 3 will be chosen to go on to the next round.

.

Feb 27th - Mindshare Showcase “Talks”

GOAL: The Mindshare Content Team will work with the 3 chosen presenters from the preceding month to create full blown Mindshare talks (~15mins each). Presenters will be coached and be given help with all aspects of their talks. NOTE: If for some reason they can’t attend then we’ll invite the presenter who was next “in line” from "Open Mic".

EVENT FORMAT: In between each of the talks we will throw in a little music, humor, story-telling, slide karaoke, poetry or other types of “mental sorbet”.

RESULT: At the end, the audience will vote on which topic that they’d like to see more deeply explored.

.

March 27th - Mindshare Showcase “Forum”

GOAL: Again, the Mindshare Content Team will work with the chosen presenter to curate the third and final event which will be inspired by the topic that they presented during the preceding month.

EVENT FORMAT: The evening will include an intimate, focused panel discussion featuring people who are well informed on the choen topic. We will also use other all other forms of content to explore the topic and engage the audience.

RESULT: At each stage during the three months we will have allowed our community to be a key part in building the content of the series, from a very broad selection of topics to a much more in depth and focused finale. Most importantly we will have created a recurring opportunity for people to meet, remeet and for quality connections to be made while expanding everyone's knowledge.
