Attend the wedding of Figaro and Susanna onsite at the James J. Hill House. This turn of the century affair offers an intimate peak upstairs and downstairs, as the audience follows the antics of Mozart's entire cast of characters throughout the historic home. This will certainly prove to be a memorable night of champagne and singing as all is put right in the end.

Hospitality will begin at 6:45 p.m. The opera begins at 7:30 p.m. A wedding reception with the cast immediately follows.

Please be aware that the audience will move throughout the house during the show. Seating is available in various rooms and there is one 15-minute intermission. The James J. Hill House is not air-conditioned, so please dress accordingly and wear comfortable shoes. An elevator is available.

This production includes a special education element in partnership with the Twin Cities Opera Guild and with the generous support of Opera Volunteers International.

Seventy students will be invited to a working rehearsal including a special presentation about Mozart and his relevancy today. Then the students will be invited to our final dress rehearsals to experience the magic of Mozart mansion-style. The dress rehearsals will be followed by Q and A sessions with the performers and students.

FAQs

What do I do if the only show I can attend is sold out or not enough tickets are available?

Call the ticket chair, Margaret Hottinger, at 651-492-8009 or email treasurer@twincitiesoperaguild.org to be added to a waitlist or make a special request for tickets. We understand that schedules may change before this summer and expect some tickets may free up as we get closer to the production time. There are only 35 seats for each show, so we are motivated to make sure we fill them.

Is this production a fundraiser for the Twin Cities Opera Guild?

Yes-$100 of your ticket price is tax deductible and a tax receipt will be mailed to you. Proceeds will be used to support opera outreach educational programs.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

This opera will not be appropriate for children 14 or under.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

On street parking is available and there is a handicap assessible drop off near the door.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes-just call or email who will be using your ticket.

Can I update my registration information?

Call or email us with any updates rather than try to do this on Eventbrite.com.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

With only 35 attendees for each show, we will be able to process attendees without a printed ticket. Bringing your order confirmation may help make things go faster.

What is the refund policy?

We will not be able to offer refunds on ticket sales but we will allow changes to other dates if tickets are still available.

Why is TCOG listed as the Education Partner?

TCOG is excited to partner with Angels & Demons Entertainment to offer 70 high school or above students an opportunity to attend the two dress rehearsals FREE on July 6 and 7 at James J. Hill House along with a special program at the Woman's Club in Minneapolis. In addition,adults and children 10 or over can attend a regular rehearsal about the relevant themes of Mozart's most popular opera to the era of James J. Hill and today.
