About the Quebec Pee-Wee Tournament:
Each year the Long Island Edge Pee-Wee Quebec team has been able to rely on the financial support of families, friends and the businesses in our communities. Our organization draws from youth talent across the Tri-State area and the Pee-Wee Quebec team will compete against teams throughout North America and from around the world. Additionally and most importantly, your contribution to the organization helps to reduce the fees paid by players. Therefore, not only are you directly assisting the organization, but you are also providing direct support to a family member, a friend, or a youth player whom, without the financial assistance, would not be able to participate in the Long Island Edge's Pee Wee Quebec program.
The Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament is known as the most important minor hockey tournament in the world, grouping young hockey players (11 and 12 years old). About 2,200 young hockey players from 15 countries come to Quebec to participate in the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament.
This Tournament takes place during a period of 11 days with crowds totaling around 200,000 fans, every year. This extraordinary event, very popular, was founded in 1960 and has never ceased to grow in importance.
Many stars from the National Hockey League have passed through this Tournament: Brad Park, Guy Lafleur, Marcel Dionne, Gilbert Perrault, Mark Howe, Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Sylvain Côté, Eric Lindros, etc.
