The Light of The Heart's Painting at The Paramount!

Please join us for our very first and magically creative fundraiser as a 501(c)3, tax exempt organization, entitled: Painting at The Paramount! We are raising funds to open our art therapy doors to all of you and the Aurora, Illinois Area.
This momentous occasion will take place on Sunday, November 4th, 2012, from 1pm-4pm, in the Grand Gallery of the beautifully historic and majestic Paramount Theatre, right in the heart of downtown Aurora, Illinois. We will be transforming the Grand Gallery into a painting studio for the day!
We are honored to have three incredible and distinguished art therapists join us to lead art making experientials on this day; each art therapist has brought so much light to The Light of The Heart.

In addition to creating beautiful works of art, you will learn about art therapy, the history of The Light of The Heart and the work we will be doing in the community, spend time in the beautiful Paramount Theatre and soak in its amazingness, eat delicious foods, visit our sponsor tables, contribute to a collaborative art piece, receive art making goodies and win cool stuff in our amazing raffle of local items!

Pledges to Paint!
After you register for the event, you have the opportunity to help raise funds for art therapy. Direct friends, loved ones, neighbors, co-workers- everyone who believes in you, to http://tlothpaintingparamount.eventbrite.com and have them pledge a donation in your honor. Your donor will be prompted to enter your name upon donating. Raise $150 or more and your fee will be waived. The attendee/artist that raises the most funds will win a most amazing prize! Good luck!!
Have a little one? No problem, ages 5 and under can attend at no cost.
Doors open at 12:45pm; please arrive early to check in and to be seated comfortably at the start of Opening Ceremony, which will begin promptly at 1:15pm.
**Three CE's for counselors and social workers will be available for purchase at the event, please bring your license number and $10 fee (check or money order made out to The Light of The Heart or cash).**
Pre-registration ticket price is $25, tickets may be available at the door on the day of the event (if we do not sell out) for a cost of $40 per person. You may also pre-register in person at the following amazing events in downtown Aurora:
The Aurora Farmers Market on Saturday, September 29th, 2012, from 7:30am-12pm at North River Street Park on Cedar and River Streets. Look for the amazing and colorful Light of The Heart table; co-founders, April and Melissa will be selling tickets and creating art!
The Aurora Artwalk on Friday, October 5th, 2012, from 7pm-10pm. The Light of The Heart will be set up in the Aurora Transportation Center at 233 N. Broadway. We will be making art and selling tickets; we may even have a heart crayon or two for you!

The Light of The Heart: A Community Art Therapy Project
The Light of The Heart is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, a pioneering art therapy initiative and are the first organization of our kind in the Aurora area, the state of Illinois and the entire nation! Our purpose is to provide high quality and affordable art therapy programming for children, adolescents, adults and allied professionals in the Aurora area and beyond, regardless of income level, reaching those that have limited or no access to mental healthcare.
Our mission is to provide a safe and encouraging environment for individuals to uncover the light of their hearts through the creative process of art making. Our vision is to create a community that embraces and utilizes the creative process of art making to allow for the light of all of our hearts to shine bright, building a safer, connected and more supportive community for all to heal, grow, prosper and love. We bring words to the wordless through imagery.
