Event Details

The 2014 Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal Symposium—An Inside Look at the World of Agents: Past, Present and Future—provides a 360° analysis of the sports agent world. From the cutthroat nature of the business to future challenges ahead, this behind-the-scenes look at one of the most competitive careers is a must-see event for anyone interested in the business of sports.

The Symposium takes place Friday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the Arthur M. Goldberg Commons at Villanova University School of Law. This program is approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 3 CLE credits (2 substantive, 1 ethics). The event is free for non-CLE attendees.

Prior to the event start, please join us for a special session, “How to Get Into the Agent Business.” Michael Siegel VLS ‘96, a certified NBA and NFL agent whose firm's clients include Kawhi Leonard and Jerod Mayo, and Jerrold Colton, an NFL and NHL agent whose client roster includes David Akers and Jahri Evans, will engage in a revealing conversation about the business and how to launch your career. This session, geared for law students, will be held from 8-8:45 a.m. in Law School classroom 203; all are welcome to attend.

A limited number of Leigh Steinberg’s book, “The Agent: My 40-Year Career Making Deals and Changing the Game,” will be available free of charge to attendees, courtesy of the Jeffrey S. Moorad Center for the Study of Sports Law.
