Get ready for a fun evening showcasing Italian creativity at its best
and delish Italian food and wine.
Bridges to Italy, a Los Angeles-based non-profit association with a chapter in Calabria and an office in Rome presents the first-ever Italian Pitch Fest.
This is event is held in collaboration with Santa Monica New Tech, a SoCal community group of 2,000+ entrepreneurs who create and showcase new technology to tech-interested public, including potential clients, employees and investors.
Bianca Dellepiane, President of Bridges to Italy, which is the organizing entity behind the scouting, coaching and arrival of this first group of Italian startups in Los Angeles, says: Italian startups and organizers are very pleased that this exciting event will take place at Cross Campus, headed by Italian-American Dan Dato, the visionary force behind this up and coming Santa Monica accelerator.
A workshop on fundraising and internationalization will open the evening with a panel formed by: Adam Chapnick, co-founder of the only, truly international crowdfunding platform INDIEGOGO; Mike Napoli, former Chairman of Tech Coast Angeles, the largest Angel investing network in the United States, and active Angel investor; and Piero Stillitano, co-founder of Bridges to Italy and Certified M&A Advisor with global finance experience.
Then, the Italian Pitch Fest will begin featuring presentations from six Italian startups, some already based in the US, some headquartered in Italy, ALL with a strong sense of creativity and style spanning in a wide range of sectors: 3D gaming and mobile apps, targeted social networking, big data, bitcoin B2B solutions, e-publishing with a twist, new, more effective medical devices
In true ITALIAN form, the presentations will be followed by an opportunity for everybody to network over Italian antipasti and drinks.

Cross Campus is bringing together those components into a beautifully designed, multi-functional space at 820 Broadway in the heart of Santa Monica.
PREMIO BEST PRACTICES FOR INNOVATION is an Italian Award, perter of Bridges to Italy, aiming at promoting innovative projects focusing on processes, products and services through storytelling. The initiative was created in 2006 within Confindustria Salerno with the objective of selecting REAL Success Stories related to innovation in order to promote them to the largest possible audience, stimulating partnerships and collaborations among large and medium size companies as well as startups. Competing companies must demonstrate measurable benefits of their innovation in any field from business to culture and tourism, from Government to education.
