Rick Lyke, Senior Partner, Eric Mower & Associates
Paige Goff, VP, Sustainability and Business Communications, Domtar

Paper has been around for 2,000 years. People love paper because it connects them in so many ways to the important things in life. Something on paper is more meaningful and lasting. Unfortunately, paper also gets a bad rap. The “Think Before You Print” messages at the bottom of emails and “Save a Tree” comments made at copy machines take a toll. News reports about the destruction of the rainforests and corporate cvost cutting cloaked in pro-environmental speak have added to the issue. The truth is paper is a sustainable, renewable, recyclable, plant-based product that has played an essential role in the development of mankind. The Domtar PAPERbecause campaign is an effort to tell this story in a fun, thought provoking and accessible style.

In his role as a senior partner at Eric Mower & Associates, Rick leads the agency’s Southeast PR group and implements a full range of marketing communications programs, including public relations, advertising, sales promotion, special events, issues management, community relations and marketing. Since joining EMA in 1983, he has developed programs for such diverse clients as Domtar, I Love New York/Empire State Development Corporation, CaroMont Health, Starbucks Coffee, North American Breweries, and Bojangles’ Restaurants. Rick is a graduate of Syracuse University and is the founder of Pints for Prostates Inc. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors, Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.

Paige Goff is Vice-President, Sustainability and Business Communications for Domtar Corporation; North America's largest producer of uncoated printing, publishing, consumer and specialty papers, and is also a supplier of market pulp.

In this role, Paige is responsible for advertising and marketing communications for all of Domtar's pulp and paper products. She has an understanding of the current trends and strategies related to sustainability, while managing relationships among environmental organizations and customers.  Paige joined Domtar in 2004 and has 15 years of experience in the paper industry. Previous roles include Senior Manager, Brand and Advertising Operations and Product Packaging Manager. She has a Masters of Business Administration from Winthrop University and lives in Fort Mill, SC with her husband and son.
