Event Details

Judge Michael Landrum, of the 113th District Court, will be speaking on a very interesting topic: the importance of an independent Judiciary.  Why did the US forefathers create three separate branches of government?  How independent is the Supreme Court from the Executive or Legislative branches?  Is it now as it was intended when the Constitution was written?

Former Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector and Texas Senate candidate Paul Bettencourt will also be joining us for the luncheon. Bettencourt is a successful businessman, politician and radio personality and t will be speaking to us about his vast experience in both politics and business alike.

This will be an informative and enlightening conversation about the past, present and future of courts in the United States that you don't want to miss!

Location: The Junior League of Houston, Garden Room B

Networking: 11:30

Presentation: noon
