The Hour DC, March
Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
No more 2nd class citizen treatment out at a bar: don’t be the one person drinking wine while everyone shares a pitcher of beer. Don’t be the one person smuggling in protein bars for a night out so you can eat while everyone has jumbo slice. Don’t be the person eating before an event just to cover your bases – and still paying for a pre-paid event. Celebrate your health, make new friends, and remember how fun an event can be again! Be Happy at THE HOUR*.
If you’ve ever followed a special diet – whether due to auto-immune, food allergies, general health or a short-term cleansing, within a day you’ve realized that it’s a lifestyle, not just a meal.
The HOUR* is a monthly series combining your life – fashion, art, music, food and drink – but *gluten-free so you can enjoy it from start to finish. Go ahead and invite your friends … you’ll be the only one who knows it’s all gluten-free.
This month's event will be at Hemphill Fine Arts (1515 14th St NW) in collaboration with DC's Glutie Foodie with a private viewing of HEMPHILL's current exhibitons "Marley Dawson: Statics and Dynamics" and "Martin Puryear: Recent Prints." Ticket includes sweets and savories from Goldilocks Goodies, Kate Bakes, Baklava Couture and DC Patisserie, plus drinks from Omission Beer, Angry Orchard cider, and live music from DJ G.
As always, the first 10 RSVPs will recieve an exclusive gift bag from the event sponsors.
When & Where
The Hour DC
The HOUR* is a collaboration between two DC-based bakers, Goldilocks Goodies and Kate Bakes. Emily and Kate want to create events that combine music, art, and fashion with their gluten-free diets. The HOUR will be a monthly series at unique venues around the city. Be happy again at The HOUR.
