Event Details

This forum will provide an oral history of Hip Hop by those that live it.  Highlighting Hip Hop’s history, traditions, and beliefs, the discussion will focus on the value the culture has to offer and its relevance in modern day Hip Hop. Panelists will include Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Recipient Grandmaster Melle Mel, legendary Grandmaster Caz, WoHH Youth Ambassador Nene Ali, graffiti legend Lava “Straightman” Mercado and Yvonne Chow from the Hip Hop Dance Conservatory. Its purpose is to create awareness of the birthplace and history of Hip Hop as well as to bridge the gap between both the pioneers and today's Hip Hop enthusiasts.
