As we progress through our careers, we may wonder why very few people become VPs, SVPs/C-level Executives at an early stage in their professional life, whereas the rest of us sometimes remain at the same level for many years. This may not be just qualifications (level of education, MBA, etc.) or luck (being at the right place & at the right time). While fast-track career growth in corporate may be attributed to many factors, most will agree that inherent leadership skills may differentiate these high-achiever executives from others.
If you are wondering:
- Could having a vision and the ability to identify opportunities to make a strategic bet be important?
- Whether determination to navigate through challenges and convince stakeholders play a role?
- Why the ability to network and leverage connections at every stage could be key?
- What would leading-by-example & motivating your team-members do for your career?
- Could creating a healthy working environment that not only builds a great culture but also empowers the team become a key for your success?
If these and other such attributes resonate with you to accomplish your career goals, please join us for a stimulating and interactive roundtable discussion with outstanding IIT alumni mentors who have been successful early in their careers. This mentorship session is not about how to make the next career move; instead the objective is to think multiple steps ahead of time and make your professional career a pleasant journey of self-discovery and improvement of your innate qualities.
