"The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly
of Lean Implementation"
Hixson Metal Finishing
Drawing parallels between the Eastwood flick itself and Lean Manufacturing in general, Douglas will highlight the motivational challenges of going lean, assigning objective values to traditionally subjective obstacles such as employee fear and satisfaction and providing a mathematical formula to test lean readiness.
To top it off, there will be an employee testimonial video that showcases the light at the end of the tunnel.
Throughout Douglas Greene's 26 years in the aerospace industry, he has led several companies from their infancy into highly profitable organizations with stellar reputations for high quality, on-time delivery and great customer satisfaction. Since 2000, Douglas has led Hixson Metal Finishing, a premier metal finishing company serving the aerospace and defense industry for over 50 years.
During his tenure at Hixson Metal Finishing, the company has seen unprecedented growth with sales increasing over 300%. New approvals have been amassed from every corner of the industry and, with the aggressive introduction of continuous improvement at every level of the corporation, growth has continued and, in fact, accelerated over the previous 3 years.
In addition to Douglas's merits as a senior leader and mentor to all of those around him, he has been recognized as an industry expert for several specialized processes and has consulted with numerous companies, including Boeing, Northrop Grumman and NASA. He currently serves as the Chairman of the SEA Supplier Advisory Council, as well as on the board of directors for two companies in the insurance industry.
