The Giving Spirit (TGS) is an all-volunteer, Los Angeles-based organization that aims to serve the homeless population one individual at a time. Through generous individual and corporate donations, TGS is able to purchase items for survival kits to distribute to homeless people. Twice a year, volunteers gather to pack and distribute the survival kits.
We look forward to working with you,

The Giving Spirit
Serving the Homeless of Los Angeles one individual at a time. For more info, see our website at www.thegivingspirit.org.
Our format is simple. Your contributions allow us to purchase goods in bulk from discount stores, collect donated items from generous distributors and manufacturers, assemble and fill the bags with the help of volunteers and then distribute the bags directly to our homeless friends throughout this sprawling city.
This is what makes our mission so special: We bring the aid to the homeless, so they don't have to travel long distances carrying all their worldly goods (or leaving them unguarded). In the previous ten years our small group of volunteers has, thanks to the amazing generosity of you and your peers, personally served thousands of souls in Greater LA. You have helped us provide food, blankets, clothing, toiletries, water – and hope - at a time of the year when they feel the most alone.
