“The Future of Work in the City that Works”
NextSpace and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers would like to cordially invite you to an evening of networking and discussion on the future of work in Chicago. NextSpace is a coworking company that runs eight coworking spaces throughout California. We’ve just opened our ninth space in the River North neighborhood of Chicago, taking our first steps towards becoming a national brand. We’re excited about coming to the Chicago market and want to celebrate with other like-minded Chicagoans who share our enthusiasm for the future of the local economy.
Jeremy Neuner, NextSpace CEO and the co-author of “The Rise of the Naked Economy: How to Benefit From the Changing Workplace”, will host the evening’s festivities. We’ve gathered an all-star group of panelists who are knowledgeable and passionate about the future of work in Chicago:
- Gunnar Branson, executive director of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers, who will speak to how the Chicago real estate landscape is changing in response to the new economy
- Sam Rosen, founder and CEO of Desktime, who will provide some perspective on the startup scene in Chicago as well as the emerging technologies that are enabling a new way of working
- Blagica Bottigliero, an Emmy award winning entrepreneur, speaker and digital advocate who has been on the forefront of Chicago’s digital economy for over fifteen years
- Carlos Martinez, principal and board member at Gensler, who can share insights into architecture and urban design in Chicago for the 21st century
Perhaps best of all, we’ve invited Mayor Rahm Emanuel to open the event with his thoughts on why The City that Works is ready for the future of work and the new economy.
We’ll have food and drink from local Chicago purveyors. And we’re grateful for our venue partner, The Wrigley Building, for donating space on the 14th floor of this iconic Chicago landmark.
Hope to see you on October 8th!
