Join the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Army’s Army Career and Alumni Program and Soldier for Life, the U.S. Army Reserve, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes for the Ft. Bliss Veterans Jobs Summit on East Ft Bliss for key Federal & State agencies, influential military leaders, innovators in the business and employer community, and local community leaders.

The Ft. Bliss Veterans Jobs Summit offers employers and community groups a rare and free opportunity to gather with veteran employment leaders in the public and private sectors. Participants will have a chance to hear from and network with Medal of Honor Recipient Sgt. Dakota Meyer as well as senior officers and officials from the United States Army, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and other recognized military nonprofits as they share resources, advice, and experience.

The summit will feature interactive forums and workshops focused on developing strong veteran and transitioning-servicemember hiring initiatives, answering tough questions and dispelling myths about veteran hiring, and encouraging participants to share their own company or community’s best practices with key government agencies and decision-makers. Employers of every size and community groups from across the country are encouraged to sign up today and take their commitment to military hiring to the next level.

The first half of the workshop is dedicated to group sessions on essential job-seeking skills, including presentations on “How to Write a Resume” and “How to Work a Job Fair.” The second half of the workshop allows each attendee to take advantage of an individual sit-down with a professional who will help them develop an elevator pitch, participate in a mock interview, and create and print more effective resumes and business cards.
