As Cigna’s Chief Diversity Officer, Rosanna Durruthy leads diversity and inclusion as a center of excellence practice to fulfill on the company’s mission, helping customers improve their health, well being and sense of security. Our customer focus generates and empowers diversity and inclusion as an enabler of Cigna’s business strategy. Diversity and inclusion is a differentiating capability that drives talent engagement, business growth, customer satisfaction and cross-cultural competence across customer, colleague and partner relationships.
Prior to joining Cigna, Rosanna led an organizational consulting practice designed to empower mastery of fit and mastery of influence in emerging leaders. Through executive coaching and personal network analysis, Rosanna coached women and people of color to new levels of leadership and successful career progression within the competitive environment of “Fortune 150” companies. Her work and observations on talent and leadership have been cited in several publications, including the books Chasing Stars: The Myth of Talent and the Portability of Performance by Boris Groysberg, Princeton University Press (2010), and Latinos in College (2010) and Poder de Mujer (2012), along with the English translated Find Your Inner Red Shoes (2012) by Mariela Dabbah.
Rosanna frequently presents at leadership forums including the 6th Emotional Intelligence World Summit, Goldman Sach’s Brokering Change: a Wall Street Multicultural Women’s Exchange, the National League of Cities’ Women in Municipal Government conference, and Diversity Best Practices’ Network Affinity Leadership Congress (NALC).
She attended Harvard College and currently serves on the national board of directors of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs. In 2002, she was named one of the country’s leading Hispanic women by both Hispanic and Hispanic Business magazines, and in 2012 Savoy magazine recognized her as one of the top influential women in America.
