ebraiding.net is thrilled to launch its second annual International Braiding magazine.  Please join us as we unveil the magazine and dazzle you with an exciting hair show featuring beautiful braids and lovely locs!

The Women Empowerment Project


The Women Empowerment Project (WEP) was created by the community of female hair-braiding and natural hair care salon owners in the United States in 2013 and became a recognized 501(c) 3 in May 2014. It is an organization supported by 3,000 established women entrepreneurs across the United States with an annual student enrollment target of 120 selected candidates in the Vocational Training component from each of its current three Chapters. The WEP raises funds through charitable donations and grants to principally seek to address the female entrepreneurship gap around the globe by nurturing innovation in gender equity and inclusion through:



ØThe delivery of targeted technical assistance and advisory services to Women Entrepreneurs in the United States including African-American, African Women and Diaspora communities.


ØThemobilization of financial resources to support the above Women-led businesses;


ØTheplanning and execution of targeted Vocational Training Programsto help aspiring women entrepreneurs around the globe fulfil their educational goals and achieve professional growth through vocational educational centers, literacy programs, training and employment placement.


ØThe Annual SANATA International Women Convention held every year in the Washington, DC area.
