Event Details

Have you ever struggled with finding the best way to communicate with people who have different backgrounds than you?

In today's business community, there is no single best approach to communicating with one another. The key to effective communication across cultures is to develop an understanding of, and a deep respect for, the differences.

Participants in this class identify ways to reduce misperceptions and improve communication with others in the work environment: superiors, peers, subordinates, and customers.

Participants will be able to assess their own values and styles and those of their organizations.

REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS: Trainings with the Illinois Department of Human Rights - Institute for Training and Development are accessible to and usable by persons with disabilities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Illinois Human Rights Act.
