Bill Ong Hing

Professor | University of San Francisco

Professor Hing is the author of numerous academic and practice-oriented publications on immigration policy and race relations, his book To Be An American: Cultural Pluralism and the Rhetoric of Assimilation (NYU Press, 1997) received the award for Outstanding Academic Book by the librarians' journal ChoiceThroughout his career, he has pursued social justice through a combination of community work, litigation, and scholarship. 


Lisa Spiegel

Partner | Duane Morris LLP

Ms.Spiegel practices in the areas of immigration and nationality law, concentrating on issues related to the employment of foreign nationals. She has been designated as a certified specialist in immigration and nationality law by the State Bar of California and is a past chair of the Northern California Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

Brandon Katayama Hill

CEO | btrax, Inc.

Mr. Hill is the founder and CEO of btrax, a cross-cultural branding and marketing agency helping clients navigate the U.S., Japanese and Chinese markets. The firm's extensive client list includes innovative leaders such as Expedia, Panda Express, Glassdoor, Itochu, DeNA, CyberAgent and Calbee. He also regularly writes for Japanese media with articles appearing in TechCrunch and other publications. Born to an American father and Japanese mother, Hill grew up in Sapporo before moving to the U.S.
