The Cowboy Kickoff Against Hunger
presented by Cameco Resources
Calling all University of Wyoming Cowboy friends, family and fans! On August 9, 2013, we’ll be holding a community huddle to celebrate the start of the college football season and tackle statewide hunger. All proceeds from this event will go directly to helping Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies stock its shelves and feed families in need.
What is it?
The Cowboy Kickoff Against Hunger, presented by Cameco Resources, is a football-fueled evening created to bring the University of Wyoming Cowboy community together in support of an important charitable organization. The event will feature a silent auction and raffle with exciting, one-of-a-kind team prizes including autographed items and much more.
Can I come?
Of course. Everyone’s invited, so saddle up! Tickets are $75 and are available to anyone who would like to attend, including but not limited to UW alumni, Cowboy Joe Club members, UW athletics fans, friends, neighbors and the greater Wyoming community.
Corporate tables are available. To purchase a corporate table, call the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies at (307) 265-2172.
Who’s behind all this?
This event is exclusively sponsored by Cameco Resources with proceeds going to benefit Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies. And of course, the evening will celebrate the 2013–2014 kickoff of your beloved University of Wyoming Cowboys.
Headquartered in Cheyenne, Cameco Resources is America’s largest uranium producer, with mines near Glenrock and Wright; its exploration and development office is in Casper.
Benefitting Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies
The Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies, based in Mills, is the backbone of the state’s fight against hunger, providing food and services to more than 200 independent pantries and food programs throughout the state. In the past year, just over 5 million pounds of food was distributed to more than 55,000 of our Wyoming neighbors.
