The Clifton Monroe Chronicles follows the adventures of ace reporter, Clifton Monroe and his quirky sidekick Mattie as they scour the streets of New Orleans solving the biggest mysteries in the name of truth, justice and a “killer” headline. In The Case of the Scarlet GClifton and Mattie are on the case to discover the identity and purpose of the mysterious G, a dangerous and threatening figure making demands of a local damsel. This show is a re-imagining of popular radio shows from the 30s and 40s, such as The Green Hornet and The Shadow; live sound effects are created onstage by the show's foley artist to accompany the actors and create the world of Clifton Monroe right before your ears and eyes!
Episode 1: Premiering in April 2012, The Clifton Monroe Chronicles: The Case of the Scarlet G is the first episode in this serial drama/comedy, re-imagining old radio theatre for a new era.
Show dates are April 19 - 22 and 27 - 29 at 8pm. Tickets are $12 for single tickets, and $20 for two (for those of you bringing a sidekick). $10 Student tickets are available at the door with valid student ID.
