LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes
LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes (LA Plaza) opened to the public in 2011 as a museum and cultural center that tells the story of the founding of Los Angeles in 1781, and celebrates the enduring contributions of Mexicans and Mexican Americans to the cultural development of Southern California. LA Plaza’s interactive historical exhibits, public events and educational programs invite visitors to explore, as well as contribute to, the ongoing story of Mexican Americans in Los Angeles and beyond. Located near the site where Los Angeles was first settled, LA Plaza’s 2.2-acre campus includes two historic and newly renovated buildings surrounded by 30,000 square feet of public garden space.
LA Plaza is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Federal Tax ID#75-3059288
