Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region
for the 2nd annual Chefs Challenge!
This year, Chefs John Ireland of Saratoga Golf & Polo Club and Jim Schultz of 2Shea Catering will go head to head, cooking up a 3-course meal using a secret ingredient, in the ultimate battle for the championship title.
Cafe Calabria, Jacob & Anthony's, Prime at Saratoga National, and Carney's Tavern will participate in the People's Choice Competition, offering up samples of their specialty dishes to be judged by guests.
The main event will be emceed by LeGrande Serras (The Reel Seafood Company) and judged by Jasper Alexander (Hattie's Restaurant), Steve Barnes (Times Union), and John "Doc" Sconzo (international food blogger).
Just before the main event starts, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region will auction off the coveted "4th Judge" seat. The winner will be seated alongside our 3 professional judges, taste both chefs' creations, and judge the dishes on presentation, taste and creativity.
The 2013 Chefs Challenge Champion and People's Choice Winner will return in 2014 to battle it out for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region's 50th anniversary.
All guests will enjoy delicious food samples, hosted wine (unlimited for honorary committee), champagne reception, a wine pull and raffles. In addition, honorary committee guests will receive recognition in the event program, on designated signage at the event and on the event invitation.
