This April, take a trip to the late 1920's at San Francisco's historic Great American Music Hall. While the 18th Amendment reigns over Admit Weekend, the Junior Class Cabinet has put together an underground night of dancing, debauchery, and no stakes gambling. Come for the live jazz band, and stay for the DJ because Lady Luck favors the delinquents at The Candlelight Club.
Jazz Band Members: Blane Wilson, Daniel Bereket, Chris Davis, and Sam Hansen
Djs: Dartis Willis and Darian Brooks
Each ticket tier has a limited number of tickets, so make sure to get yours early. If a tier runs out of tickets, you must wait until the next tier to purchase them.
Tickets will be scanned at the door with Smart Phone Eventbrite scanners. Don’t forget your tickets! Non-Stanford students are welcome to attend as long as they are over 18 years of age and can present a valid I.D.
Transportation will be provided to and from the event for those who need it. Buses will be leaving from the Tresidder parking lot starting at 9:15 pm. We will wait for each bus to fill completely before starting the next. The last bus will leave from the parking lot at 10:15 pm. At the end of the event, buses will begin leaving the Great American Music Hall starting at 12:30 am and continue until all guests have a ride. The event officially ends at 1 am.
For those who intend to drive rather than take the buses, there is an AMC parking lot across the street from the venue. Guests should first park and get a ticket from the lot, then bring the ticket to the person at the podium of the venue to receive a validation ticket. You will need both tickets at the end of the night to pay for parking. Do not leave your car in the lot overnight! After the event, the validation is no longer effective and parking returns to its original hourly prices.
If you are interested in booking a hotel room in the city for after the event, we suggest booking at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. Rooms are just under $200/ night and there will be a designated bus to drop off guests at this hotel at the end of the event. If you choose to book at a different hotel, transportation will not be provided. Any overnight bags can be stored in the coat check area for the duration of the event and are subject to security inspections by the venue staff.
Alcohol can be purchased at this event for guests who are of age. This venue has a zero tolerance alcohol policy. Every person who enters the venue will have their ID checked and get a hand stamp to indicate whether they are over or under 21. Those with a 21+ hand stamp are allowed to leave and return to the venue throughout the duration of the event while those with an under 21 hand stamp are required to remain in the venue after entry. The bartenders must see a 21+ hand stamp for all alcoholic beverages served and may check IDs again at the bar if they feel a person’s age is questionable. All non-alcoholic beverages will be served in red plastic cups and security staff will be watching throughout the event to ensure the alcohol policies are being followed.
**Anyone underage who is caught drinking will be kicked out of the event. Similarly, anyone who is caught giving alcohol to someone who is underage may also be kicked out**
There will be one bus designated for those who are kicked out. You will remain on the bus until the end of the event and then be taken back to Stanford campus.
