MobileMonday Dublin presents another free networking event for our local community of mobile professionals.
This time we focus our attention on developing apps for the BlackBerry platform.
Announcing the company's Q2-11 results on 15 Sept., Jim Balsillie, Co-CEO at Research In Motion said: “We will continue to build on the success of the BlackBerry 7 launch to drive the business as we focus our development efforts on delivering the next generation, QNX-based mobile platform next year.”
In July 2011, BlackBerry App World was available in over 100 countries, seeing an average of 3 million downloads per day, and they also crossed the 1 billion app download milestone! The opportunity for Irish developers is clear. See what David Akka, UK MD, Magic Software says on what BlackBerry's new operating system BBX will mean for the mobile industry.
This MobileMonday Dublin event will provide a unique chance to get the inside track from RIM's EMEA Infrastructure Architect Alex Bowker.
RIM will be giving away a BlackBerry PlayBook to one lucky attendee drawn at random among the audience, as well as TWO free visitor passes for the Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona (worth €700 each).
Find out more at our event on Mon. 21 November 2011 at 6-9pm at the Gibson Hotel.
