The Black Male Experience
Friday, September 21, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM (EDT)
Join the team behind Stars for Trayvon and our panel of leaders and celebrities, as we reflect over the major social issues of the past year through the black man's perspective. Every black man’s story is different, and whether it is as a father, teacher, preacher, mentor, athlete, philanthropists, entertainer, or change agent, we are excited to present a stage for the sharing of such experiences, issues, and solutions to ensure the success of all black male youth.
We also believe this opportunity should be one of act. To that end, our goal is to sign up 500 mentors for the US Dream Academy--a non-profit organization that connects mentors with children of incarcerated parents. The Black Male Experience seeks to cultivate a spirit of ACTION as a solution to our community's pressing challenges.
