The Backyard Country Music Fest Featuring John Michael Montgomery

Just minutes east of Indianapolis and minutes south of New Castle,The Backyard at Montgomery's Steakhouse proudly presents our First Annual Country Music Fest Featuring John Michael Montgomery. This all day music fest will start at 11 AM with our first local act taking the stage at approximately 12:00 Noon. This all ages event will provide family entertainment for all ages! Entertainment, food, beverages, and live music from local and up and coming bands. John Michael Montgomery will be taking the stage at approximately 9PM. The acts we have in the line up for the day include:
John Michael Montgomery: With 15 number one songs, 18 top tens, and millions of albums sold, John Michael Montgomery has turned an uncanny ability to relate to fans into one of country music's most storied careers. Behind the string of hit records, the roomful of awards and the critical and fan accolades that have defined his phenomenal success lies a connection that goes beyond his undeniable talent and his proven knack for picking hits. Since the days when "Life's A Dance" turned him from an unknown artist into a national star, John Michael’s rich baritone has carried that most important of assets--believability. Few artists in any genre sing with more heart than this handsome Kentucky-born artist.
Leah Seawright: After completing her latest cd, Seawright teamed up with Montana Silversmiths, the world’s leading western buckle and jewelry maker as celebrity endorsee for the organization and brand. Leah appeared in Montana Silversmiths' CMT commercial featuring her latest single, "Til Your Boots Are Dirty". “We are pleased to have Leah as a personality for our brand,” says StacyLynn Ellis, director of marketing, “She is both a talented musician and a beautiful person inside and out. This partnership is a great fit because our fans both value quality and art.” Seawright, has performance experience on a national level. She has shared the stage with several well-known artists, such as Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker and Charlie Daniels; her fan base expands across the country. To top it off, her drummer, Mark Herndon is a founding member and former drummer for the group Alabama.
Hunter Smith Band: Indianapolis folks will know Hunter Smith as "Hunter the Punter" from the Indianapolis Colts. With a love for country music, after football, Hunter decided to follow his dreams of being a musician and started ghe Hunter Smith Band. Hunter still lives and performs in the central Indiana area and has his sights set on taking the Hunter Smith Band to the national level.
Mike Archer: Exciting things have been happening for Mike. He just finished recording his second studio album “Shoulda Coulda Woulda”, released November 2011. This was made possible with the success of his debut album “The Next Best Thing.”
Linda Lee: From central Indaian Linda brings her music to the masses with her new album entitled “Keep On” was recorded in Nashville and is being extremely well received by fans of all backgrounds and all ages from six to ninety-six across the mid and upper Midwest. The first release, the title song Keep On, is currently being played on radio stations from New York to Texas and from Florida to California.
Whether you fancy yourself to be a fan of country music’s traditional oldies, today’s crossovers, or anything and everything that lies between, keep your eyes on the country music horizon because Linda Lee’s star is definitely on the ascent.

Seth Caldwell: A talented performer from Georgia who is now living in Nashville preparing for a career in country music. With original songs as well as covers of some of today's hottest country hits, this talented performer is working hard towards a successful career. Seth has played a few venues in Indiana as well as many venues in Nashville, and all over Georgia.
The Mike Martin Band: A group consisting of Mike Martin and the Cosmic Mountaineers Heather Marie Yoakam (Ukulele / Vocals), Josh "The Time Traveler" Fite (Stand Up Bass / Vocals) and Jeremy McShurley (Percussion and Funny Noise Makers). The band is an electric bunch of souls dedicated to music. The band embarks on their "THE MMB'S Cosmic 10 Year Tour" starting this May! The four of 'em have loaded up the band van with enough PB&J's to keep 'em alive and just trying to make enough for gas money to get to the next gig! Mike has four albums to his credit with local hits "Like Johnny Loved June" and "Old Drunken Lullabye (Whiskey O' Whiskey) getting airplay in the Midwest! With the addition of the Josh and Heather's vocals and songwriting styles The MMB is on fire with the spirit of Rock-n-Roll! Anyone who has seen the live show knows that absolute reckless abandon for music drives this runaway train! Whether it's a tear jerking ballad or a whiskey-soaked Punk Rock Irish Ditty The MMB plays like it's the last time we'll ever sing a note! The MMB is an amazing show to experience and we love what we do!
