Community Building in Youth Programs
Self Care and Reflection for Youth Workers
Artistic Inquiry: Learn theatrical based activities for use in youth programs

Through a series of activities participants/youth workers will gain tools for integrating arts, community building and social justice topics in their youth programs. The curriculum presented will incorporate Playback Theatre and Theatre of the Oppressed and includes a variety of exercises inspired by both forms. These exercises will also provide staff an opportunity to reflect on conflict in their programs and explore personal responses to social justice issues in the Rogers Park neighborhood.

Lunch will be provided during the workshop. Lunch will be served starting at 11am and the workshop will begin promptly at 11:30am. Participants are welcome to eat throughout the workshop.

This workshop is made possible through grant funding from the City of Chicago and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events
