Throw on your cheesiest, brightest vintage ski gear and get ready to kick-back, relax and reward yourself after an epic day on the mountain. Because let's be honest, the best part of skiing is The Aprés Ski. Think mohawks, head bands, neon Bollé sun glasses, jester hats and anything else you’ve seen in Aspen Extreme, Ski School and Dumb and Dumber.

Join us on Saturday, January 29th, at The Crossing for an afternoon full of ski shots, ice luges, great drinks, food specials, dancing, a costume contest and raffle prizes for what will surely be more fun than anything else you’ve got going on a mid-winter Chicago Saturday afternoon.

As if you weren’t already hooked, all proceeds from this event go to benefit S.O.S. Children's Villages Illinois and will be used to purchase lift tickets and ski rental equipment for children and teens at the Chicago and Lockport Villages when they go on a ski trip to Wisconsin in February. This will be the kids’ first opportunity to ski, as they are in the custody of the state and the Organization doesn't have the funds to cover extra-curricular activities such as this.

More importantly, we are looking for volunteers to help us on our trip to Wisconsin in February.  There will be opportunities to sign up at the event, should you have the interest.

Not a skier?  We won’t judge.  Half the battle is looking like you know what you’re doing.  So get geared up and come join us on what will prove to be a rewarding Saturday afternoon for all.

Can't join us but want to support the cause?

Every Child Deserves a Home

In America more than 518,000 children are in foster care. Three in four children are separated from their siblings. Most will live in six or more foster homes. And once the children age out of foster care:

40% live on public assistance

46% never finish high school

84% have a child within 18 months

25% are homeless at some time

There must be a better way ... and there is ...

SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGES ILLINOIS provides a viable alternative to traditional foster care. Children who come to live at SOS stay with their biological brothers and sisters in a private home. A full-time, professionally trained foster parent lives with them, and the whole Village gives them support, compassion and strength.
