The 4th Annual App Retreat at Cavallo Point

This year's retreat is on Friday, August 22nd at Cavallo Point, with a dinner the evening before on August 21st at Murray Circle in Cavallo Point, and ending with a wine reception. It is a spectacular venue, outstanding in every element from rooms to facilities to its breathtaking view of The Golden Gate Bridge.

The founding purpose of the App Retreat is to allow leaders and innovators within the app economy to have time to engage in great content—and with each other—on the issues that we face on topics around app distribution, discovery and ecosystem development.

This is by invitation only--and attendance is strictly limited to 50 people. Due to space restrictions, we will accept attendees on a first-come, first-serve basis.

appbackr

appbackr

appbackr, based in Palo Alto, is an app scoring platform that allows developers to receive backing for their apps based on the quality score.

Appscore is a quality score which drives discovery, distribution and incentives for developers' apps.  It is the core of what appbackr does. Appscore is the foundation of Xchange  which provides incentives and rewards to developers based on a ratio between the appscore and its current market performance. Based on this ratio, developers receive incentives to port apps and to promote their apps on partner sites operated by carriers, oems and other third parties.

Partners such as carriers, OEMs, and platforms use the appscore and Xchange to increase revenue by curating apps and reaching developers.  The appscore is available as a subscription or on a pay-per-usage basis.
