Got my Mind on my Honey and my Honey on my Mind:
A hands-on workshop on the amazing products of the honeybee hive, including honey tasting, beeswax crafting, and more.

Have you ever wondered exactly how bees convert nectar into honey? Or, why they make more honey than they need to survive?

What about where beeswax comes from, exactly? Does eating bee pollen REALLY help with allergies, or is that just a myth?

In this two hour, DELICIOUS and FUN hands-on workshop, you will learn some amazing facts about the main products of the honeybee hive: honey, beeswax, propolis, pollen,  and royal jelly. You will learn:

★ when, how, and why these products are produced by the bees, and some of their medicinal properties
★ how to melt and filter raw honeycomb into useable beeswax
★ simple recipes for using the products of the hive to make infused honey, candles, and lip balm

lip balm

You will taste infused honey (cinnamon! chili-pepper! and more!) and create lip-balm from an easy-to-follow recipe!

Each participant will go home with a tube of their own lip balm!

Class is $25. Presented by Stephanie Elson of The Bevevolent Bee
