When & Where
American Craft Council and Jiun Ho
For 70 years the American Craft Council (ACC), a 501c3 non-profit organization has celebrated the work of artists, serving as a catalyst in the cyclical connection between makers and fine craft enthusiasts. One of ACC’s programs is producing the American Craft Council San Francisco Show, currently in its 39th year that will take place August 8-10, 2014, at Fort Mason Center.
Showcasing more than 225 of the nation’s top contemporary craft artists, the ACC show is three-day celebration of all things handmade, attracting an educated and affluent annual audience of more than 10,000 people who relish experiencing all things artisanal – from the work of fine craft artists to delectable food and drink.
Jiun Ho Inc. is a San Francisco-based luxury lifestyle and design studio founded more than 14 years ago by interior and product designer Jiun Ho. Jiun is renowned for sensuous interiors that blend his minimal aesthetic with global inspirations. Balance and harmony are the hallmarks of Jiun’s vision. Lively contrasts—textures against clean lines, rich dark woods against sumptuous fabrics and shapes that are both challenging yet inviting—characterize his work.
Jiun’s passion for travel, great food and fine wine inspired him to create Jiun Ho de Jia, a lifestyle exploration gallery, atelier and event space in San Francisco. Jiun Ho de Jia showcases hand-selected art and rare antiques in addition to Jiun’s signature collections and provides visitors a look into the global cultures that have inspired Jiun throughout his career, while giving clients the opportunity to acquire pieces they can’t find anywhere else in the country.
Due to the commitment both organizations share for honoring fine craftsmanship, Jiun Ho will be co-hosting a pre-event with ACC at Jiun Ho de Jia on Wednesday, August 6th, 2014.
