The sole mission of the R.E.G.I.M.E.N. Boxing Academy is to use the sport of boxing as a tool to keep the youth of our impoverished neighborhood off the streets, engaged in a positive recreational activity, and surrounded by encouraging adults who can support them in their quest for a prosperous future. We work with boxing gyms throughout the state in a collective effort to provide a safe haven for “at risk” youth to occupy their time productively during the hours they have been statistically proven to make decisions that lead to early parenthood, gang involvement, incarceration, and premature death.
With that said, each summer for the last 3 years, R.E.G.I.M.E.N. Boxing Academy has hosted the 401 REGIMEN Classic at Classical High School. This exciting event was established to provide a space for young boxers to not only display their talent, but raise funds to ensure their training can continue. We are very pleased to announce this year is no different. However, due to the growth of our supporters we forced to change the venue.
On Saturday August 2nd, the 4th Annual 401 R.E.G.I.M.E.N. CLASSIC will take place at Classical High School Gymnasium. This is a big show for a big cause with big opportunities for all those involved! More importantly, due to our growth the proceeds this year will not only assist the community boxing programs, but Project: Night Vision, another organization located in the city of Providence that offers quality evening services to youth ages 12yrs -18yrs. The Project: Night Vision program serves at-risk youth who have a desire to better themselves, stay off the streets, and get involved in their community.
