The 2nd Annual Big Red Ball benefiting the Clarkston-based non-profit 50 Cents. Period. will take place at the Clarkston Community Center on Saturday, March 15, 2014, from 7 to 11 p.m. Lavish bites from Executive Chef Alison Lueker-Ritter of Decatur’s Sun in My Belly will highlight a convivial evening with Stiletto Dance Company and Big Band Atlanta, emceed by WSB-TV personality Erin Coleman.
Over 200 guests will "paint the night red" as they dance and mingle at one of the East Side’s most lauded venues in support of 50 Cents. Period.'s work improving the lives of refugee women and girls in the Atlanta area.
50 Cents. Period. was founded in 2010 by Atlantan Lorrie King to empower women and girls to stay fully engaged in their lives and educations, without the stigma and barriers surrounding their period, gender, and reproductive choices. 50 Cents. Period. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose Atlanta partners include the International Rescue Committee, the Global Village Project, World Relief, AID Gwinnett, Healthy Nation, and more.
