Graduation Celebration

CONCESSION STAND available in lobby to purchase food & drinks @ 5:00 pm!

Commencement: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Light Refreshments: 8:00 pm - 8:30 pm



Congratulations on your Success, Class of 2014!

In honor of your achievement, the Management Organization for Business Students presents to you the 2014 Business Management Graduation Celebration. Inside the beautiful Palace of Fine Arts, your loved ones will watch you walk across the stage and receive your certificate of achievement, as your personal photos are projected above. You'll have a chance to commemorate this milestone by taking photos with your friends, family, and classmates. Don't miss this chance to turn the tassel with your fellow management alumni! 

This is your day, and we recommend arriving early- not only to grab the best seats in the house for your family and friends, but to also take in the beauty of the of Fine Arts.

Graduates must arrive at 5:00 pm for set up, pictures, and a short rehearsal.

Tickets (SOLD OUT)-no door sales

April 14 - April 25 (6 pm): Guest tickets are limited to 5 per graduate! 

April 28-May 16: Second round of ticketing for additional guests.

May 9: Deadline for graduates to buy their own tickets. (ensures name on graduation pamphlet).

  • All purchases are NON-REFUNDABLE, So purchase carefully.
  • All tickets must be purchased under the graduate's name.
  • Discount codes are one time use ONLY ending April 25 (6pm)
  • Be sure to print your ticket and/or receipt- this is REQUIRED FOR ENTRANCE. 
  • When purchasing tickets, be sure to input the name of the GRADUATE as "buyer". If you accidentally input something else, don't worry, just contact us ASAP. 

To insure each graduate receives tickets for immediate family, purchases in the first round are limited to 5 per graduate, followed by a second round for additional purchase. Children may attend without a ticket only if they sit on a lap. Anyone filling a seat will need a ticket. 


Photo Submissions

This is your day, and MOBS would like to give each graduate their moment to shine. The photos that you submit to us will be projected above the stage as you walk across and receive your certificate of achievement. Instructions for submissions are below:

  • Send to: mobssfsu@gmail.com
  • Limit: 3 photos per person
  • Deadline: Monday, May 12th @ 11:55pm.  NO EXCEPTIONS
  • E-mail Subject Line: "Graduation Picture Submission"
  • Details: provide your preferred contact email, name you wish on the screen, and the phonetic pronunciation for our lovely MC and MOBS advisor, Dr. Tantalo.

Speech Submissions

If you would like to be a student speaker at the commencement, two slots are open for submission. Submit a video recording of you saying your speech, as you would at the commencement, and a typed version of your speech to mobssfsu@gmail.coml. We will respond letting you know we've received your submission, and notify you of the speakers who have been selected after the deadline. Re-cap on instructions below:

  • Slots: 2 students
  • Deadline: Saturday, May 10 @ 11:55 pm.
  • E-mail Subject Line: "Graduation Speech Submission"
  • Submit: Video recording & typed verson of your speech (5 minutes maximum)


Other Details 

Photographer: Our photographers will be present at the ceremony to take photos of you recieving your certificate of achievement and before the ceremony begins. A link will be provided for purchase. 

Cap and gown will be required for all graduates.

Return gown to bookstore no later than Monday, JUNE 2nd with student ID number

Summer hours:10am-4pm 

A $5 late fee will be assessed per day after June 3

Light Refreshments: Will be provided from 8:00-8:30 in the lobby.

(The ceremony is known to run faster, allowing for more time to mingle. You are welcome to stay after refreshments are served. The lobby is small and will close at 9:00 pm)

CONCESSION STAND available in lobby to purchase food & drinks @ 5:00 pm!

House Rules: Please be considerate of other audience members by leaving balloons in the car. No blow horns/silly string. Strollers will need to be parked next to the seating area. 

Handicap Accessibility: The Palace is wheelchair accessible; if you or your family member need to reserve handicap seats or other accomodations, please email us at mobssfsu@gmail.com 



ATTENTION: Please make sure to double-check your ticket orders before submitting. Once you have purchased your ticket for yourself and your guests, there will be NO REFUND.
