ABOUT THE MASTER PIONEER AWARD
Across America, there's a revolution afoot as millions of women abandon harsh chemical relaxers to embrace their naturally textured hair, and enhance their unique beauty. Natural hair has become the new standard for confident, brilliant and beautiful women of color. Nearly 40% of Black women now PROUDLY sport chemical free tresses. This paradigm shift didn't just suddenly occur; it's been decades in the making.
On SEPTEMBER 14, 2013, B.A.D. - Braids And Dreds will host the second Master Pioneer Award ceremony to honor another group of outstanding contributors to the natural hair care industry. These individuals are the MASTERS who created the foundation for today's flourishing natural hair culture.
