What is the GGRR?
The GGRR bicycle tour is geared for both the casual recreational rider and the serious bicyclist with ride distances to suit any skill level. The GGRR is NOT a race. Ride at your own pace and enjoy the rural autumn countryside.
The GGRR Moves to Harrison Ohio!
We have moved the ride 20 miles closer to downtown Cincinnati! Lodging, camping and restaurants are available in Harrison Ohio, minutes away from the ride start. YOU CAN EVEN RIDE YOUR BIKE FROM THE HOTELS OR THE CAMPGROUND TO THE RIDE START. Camping is available at Miami Whitewater Park (please call ahead to ensure your reservation)
Routes – 35, 50, 62, 75 and 100 Miles
Scenic Ohio and Indiana routes were developed by experienced bicyclists for your riding pleasure. Routes feature secondary roads and unique painted direction road marks to guide your GGRR adventure. Riders will receive a fully detailed route map. The shorter distances are designed to be easier for the recreational rider. Roving patrol vehicles will be on the routes watching for riders with mechanical problems. Radio patrols will provide emergency communications.
Are You Up for the Challenge of the GGRR Century Route?
The Century route is one of the more challenging in the area. We have 3 rest stops to nourish you for the approximate 3,500 feet of vertical gain on this route. There are many challenging climbs on the route and multiple sections of “rollers” to keep it fun.
You bet! The GGRR is well known for great food and snacks. Entertaining rest stops will be on each route with refreshments to fuel your ride. Fresh water, Gatorade, fruit and snacks will be in plentiful supply for all. Restroom facilities are at all stops. The main rest area also has a fire to warm up around if the weather turns chilly. New for 2012, “FROM ME TO YOU”, Beatles Tribute band will be playing at our Indian Creek Food stop that all riders will go to, and all routes over 35 go to twice.
