Are there discounted rooms available at the Melville Marriott?
Through an arrangement with the Melville Marriott Long Island, blocks of rooms have been reserved for those attending Diocesan Convention; single, double, triple, and quadruple occupancy rates are provided. These rooms are available for all attendees, guests, and exhibitors. Rooms are available on November 14, 15, and 16. Hotel Reservations include breakfast on Saturday morning. (Those not staying at the hotel may purchase Saturday breakfast at their own expense.)
Click on the links below in order to reserve rooms at these special rates directly with the hotel:
Reservations are the sole responsibility of the individuals or parishes wishing to secure a room. Those making reservations should double-check the confirmation provided by the hotel to ensure that the reservation accurately reflects the correct room rate, number of occupants, and dates of stay.
Under no circumstances will the Diocese be responsible for errors made in booking by either the hotel or by individuals or parishes attending convention. The responsibility for ensuring a reservation is processed correctly and is within the provided group rate is yours, and yours alone.
When can I make reservations with the hotel?
Reservations are open now; the group rate is guaranteed through Friday, October 18. After that date, rooms will be offered at the group rate at the hotel’s sole discretion. It is to your advantage to reserve now.
Can I use our parish’s tax exemption at the hotel?
In order to receive a tax exemption for reservations, you must:
(1) Provide your parish’s New York State “Exempt Organization Purchase Certificate” (NYS From ST-119.1) to the Hotel at the time of check-in,
(2) Pay with a check bearing the name of the parish holding the exemption, or with a credit card that has the exempt organization’s name on its face.
No personal checks, personal credit cards, or cash payments will be accepted for tax-exempt transactions. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Will childcare be available at Convention?
