About the Thanksgiving Day Food Drive
The Community Center spearheads the largest Food Drive in the Foothill communities. Canned food is collected during the month of November at locations in La Cañada, La Crescenta and Montrose. Non-perishable food donations are distributed by the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station to local families in need. In 2012, the food collected served over 150 families.
Drop off your food donations at the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge during the month of November or bring your food donations to the Thanksgiving Day Run & Food Drive at Memorial Park. Donating food or store gift cards during the holidays is a rewarding way to give back to the community. We hope you will join the Community Center for this worthwhile endeavor. Call the Community Center to find out how you can get involved!
