Entrepreneurs are quick to deflate when they hear “no” from a potential customer. The truth is, a little exclusivity in your business goes a long way – such a long way that I believe we should thank the people who turn us down. (Graciously and respectfully, of course!) And by that same token, you should have defining criteria for the clientele that you want. When you’re clear about exactly whom you serve and exactly how you do it, you narrow the field. And you create the space to bring in only those people who are jumping at the opportunity to pay you for your products and services.
