About the book:
Throughout Americas history, occupants of the White House have interacted with and been shaped by popular culture. What Jefferson Read, Ike Watched, and Obama Tweeted: 200 Years of Popular Culture in the White House by Tevi Troy is full of fun and informative little-known anecdotes about George Washington to Barack Obama and every president in between, revealing how each one has woven popular culture into different aspects of their leadership.
Not only does What Jefferson Read, Ike Watched, and Obama Tweeted lead readers on a quirky yet enlightened journey of hobbies in the White House, it offers an important look at the American psyche through the unique lens of the presidency.
