Temple University Veterans Welcome Program
Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (EDT)
Philadelphia , PA
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Congratulations on Your Acceptance!
More than 200 of our newly admitted students have something in common with Bill Cosby, comedian and creator of Fat Albert and The Cosby Kids; Elvis Presley, King of Rock & Roll; Robin Quivers, radio personality and co-host of the Howard Stern Show; or Gene Hackman, Academy Award-winning actor. Like them, you or a member of your family has made the ultimate contribution to our society by serving in the U.S. military. As a newly admitted veteran, active duty servicemember, spouse or dependent, you and your family members are invited to join us for the Second Annual Veterans Welcome Program at the Student Center, Underground, located on 13th & Montgomery Avenue, Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. You will find out everything you need to know about the various G.I. Bill benefits, and gain a complete understanding of the certification process at the university.
After you have fun at TempleFest, come meet key university veteran representatives and hear them talk about career and internship opportunities, money matters, and the tools you will need to successfully navigate your way through the various student services available to you. Meet and mingle with veteran advisors, members of the University Veterans Task Force, Temple Veteran Association (TVA), and maybe even a surprise guest or two. Plus, there will be delicious food and door prizes. Also, learn how you and you family members can attend Temple Football and Basketball games. All students in attendance can pick up their FREE ticket to Military Appreciation Day at the Temple vs. Navy home opener football game on Saturday, September 6 at the Lincoln Financial Field. Plus, Temple students can get free tickets to the game for their veteran family and friends (while supplies last).
If you have just started your journey to becoming Temple Made, you don't want to miss this event!
