This is a private harvest.
We will harvest fresh backyard fruit for donation to hunger relief agencies (soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters and the food bank.) We will have all the necessary equipment, including buckets, picking-poles, ladders, clippers, gloves and crates with us. Wear closed-toed shoes and clothing appropriate for the expected weather conditions of the day.Please bring snack/lunch and come prepared to be outdoors for 4 hours. Other items to consider are:
- Hat and Sunglasses
- Gardening gloves
- Brown bag to take some fruit home
Is there an age limit?
Children must be a 6 years or older accompanied by a parent/guardian.
What are my transportation options?
Other than driving to the church parking lot, there is a BART station in Lafayette that is within 15 minutes walking distance of the church parking lot.
Can I come without registering?
No. There is a limit to the number of people that fit in a backyard.

We are a grassroots, all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in the East Bay of San Francisco. We harvest excess backyard fruit for donation to the needy and in the process help learners understand issues related to food and food insecurity. Our focus is on hunger relief and building healthy, resilient communities.
