Teen Science Night
Friday, August 16, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, CA
This is the first Bay Area Teen Science (B.A.T.S.) Night hosted and organized by the Academy of Sciences’ youth programs. This event welcomes teens from all across the San Francisco Bay Area to the California Academy of Sciences for a free night of science exploration. Collaborating with different institutions like the Oakland Zoo, Chabot Space Science Center, the Exploratorium, and the UC Berkeley Space Science Laboratory, the goal of this event is to provide a safe environment to allow youth from various backgrounds to learn, share, and discover science.
The Academy provides a variety of Out-of-School-Time and Digital Learning programs for middle- and high school-aged youth. We are committed to providing the inspiration and training for young people to become science enthusiasts and stewards of the natural world.
