Event Details

The number one cause of death for drivers ages 15 to 24 is motor vehicle crashes. According to USA Today (2/17/09) “A new generation of drivers sees cars as an extension of their plugged-in lives, with iPods, DVD players and other gadgets.”

Cell Phone Users:

                    Are 4X more likely to be involved in a crash that involves injury

                    Are 4X more likely to be involved in a crash that involves property damage

                    Are 75% more likely to commit a traffic violation

Give your teen driver life-saving defensive driving tools from the National Safety Council's Alive at 25 training offered by Judicial Services at the College of Lake County.

Come to the University Center of Lake County on Thursday, April 19 at 6 p.m. to hear Dave Teater (preview video below) of the National Safety Council share his personal experience how a distracted driver changed his and his family’s life forever.
