Teen Dating Violence:
Best Practices for School Counselors (Teachers and Other Educators Welcome)
This interactive and multifaceted training will increase the capacity of school counselors in Marin County to identify and respond to teen dating violence. This training will feature experienced and knowledgeable speakers from Center of Domestic Peace (C4DP). C4DP, founded in 1977, has proudly responded to the needs of more than 159,000 women victimized by DV and their children, as well as 28,000 men who have been violent.
Þ You will learn how to recognize and screen for teen dating violence
Þ Learn how to assess for risk and connect a teen to help in ten minutes or less
Þ Identify three strategies to help increase awareness and prevention about TDV
