TEDxLive is an extension of the TEDx program, launched by TED in 2010. TEDxLive events are TEDx events built around the live webcast of TED Conferences. TEDxLive events enable TED enthusiasts all over the world to experience live sessions of theTED Conference.
This year's TED Conference theme is "The Young. The Wise. The Undiscovered." A list of speakers can be found here: http://conferences.ted.com/TED2013/program/guide.php
As this is a school day, we are not able to offer anything more than viewing the livestream itself. We encourage attendees to meet in between sessions to discuss what they watched.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Because we do not expect a large off-campus audience for this event, we will not be providing signage or liasons for parking. You are recommended to park in southend of Lot 6 and either pay hourly or an all day fee ($8). From Lot 6, the Genomics Auditorium is a 5 minute walk northeast, located behind (east) the Psychology building and south of the Biological Sciences Building. Please consult this map: http://campusmap.ucr.edu/imap/index.html?loc=GENOM
Here are some videos we made to help you navigate to the parking lot and to the Genomics Auditorium from Lot 6 for 2 hour parking. If you plan to park all day, follow the videos to navigate to Lot 30. If you have any questions, please email us.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. We will have a list of attendees with us.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
The Auditorium does not allow food or drink to be brought in, so please reserve your eating/drinking for breaks. The campus has many food vendors to choose from, should you get hungry.
