Dare to Register for the Conference of the Year!
Thank you for your interest in attending TEDxPSU 2013: Yesterday's Frontiers and Tomorrow's Horizons! We've worked hard all year to put together a conference that reflects the mission of TED and the spirit of Penn State.
Yesterday's Frontiers and Tomorrow's Horizons will be held on March 17, 2013 in Schwab Auditorium and will feature speakers and exhibits that cover topics from the possibility of a female president to the robotics of the future. By combining revolutionary ideas and lessons from the past, we strive to create an event that will take your breath away with the magic of "x".
Registration for the event will close on February 17.
Unlock access to purchase your very own TEDxPSU T-Shirt before the event!! It is simple, in order to activate the additional items, please provide a donation of your choosing to help support the sustainability of TEDxPSU as an organization. You will then be rewarded for your kindness with a discounted TEDxPSU T-Shirt to show our appreciation!
NOTE: Registration does not guarentee a spot. We will be sending acceptance notifications by February 20th.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Limited parking will be available in the IST Parking Lot (directions). Additionally, all parking garages downtown are free on Sunday.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
We ask that you use discretion in what items you bring with you to Yesterday's Frontiers and Tomorrow's Horizons. Alcohol, firearms, weapons, flash photography, and video cameras are all strongly discouraged. Likewise, food and beverages from outside vendors will not be permitted.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
If you have any questions about the event please email Ali Pump the Director of Community Relations at email@example.com
Can I update my registration information?
Yes. You can update your registration information up until February 24th.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. TEDxPSU strives to limit the environmental impact in all that we do. Please help us with this by accessing your ticket on your smart phone via email receipt or the Eventbrite app. If you are proud of your independence from 'the grid', simply tell us your name when you arrive and we will check you in personally!
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
No. We ask that each application applies seperately.
What is TEDx
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxPSU, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxPSU event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
